Our Auctions

UK Militaria auctions are  held exclusively online, where bidding is available through our website, Easy Live Auction and the-saleroom.com online platforms. All of our Auctions follow the Timed Auctions format.

What is  a Timed Auction? Quite simply, a  'Timed Auction' is a computer generated auction with a clock that counts down until a selected end time, when the auction will close with extensions for ongoing bidding thereby eliminating the 'sniping process' people may be familiar with on ebay.  Timed Auctions have no physical auctioneer, and there is no video live-stream).

Valuation

Whether you have a whole collection that you are looking to sell or just one particular item, we are here to offer you free, no-obligation valuations. Our valuation process comes in different forms so that you can select the one to best suit you. You can get in touch today, either by telephone or email, where we can arrange valuing your items at either our office or for large collections at your home if more convenient to you.

Alternatively, we can offer home visits by prior appointment depending on your collection, should your items be too large, too numerous or you are simply unable to bring them to us.

We can also meet you at various Militaria Fairs - we regularly attend many UK Fairs including most Northern Arms Fairs , Birmingham Antique Arms Fairs amongst others and Fairs abroad including Houten NL.

Charges

UK Militaria Auctions have a simple fee structure, which is one-fee-covers-all. Not only is our fee one of the lowest for a specialist auction house in the UK, but we do NOT charge for valuing, cataloguing, photographing or promoting. You simply pay one commission charge of 10% including VAT on the hammer price of your sold lots. This is only charged once your items have been sold, all items are covered under our insurance, and if there is no sale, there's no fee! This fee is negotiable for substantial collections and regular sales arrangements.

Cataloguing

Once we have valued your items and you are happy to consign, our team will get to work preparing your item(s) for auction. Our specialist valuer will describe your item(s) for our online catalogue, and the lot(s) will then be photographed online purposes.

Promotion

With the growth in Internet promotion, we may select your item to have its own promotional campaign; this will include social media coverage through our Facebook pages and featured lots on the saleroom or Easy Live Auction.

Pre Auction & Post Auction

Prior to the auction you will receive a sellers pre-sale statement.

In the days following the sale you will receive a statement detailing your lots and the hammer prices they have achieved at auction. Once we have received full payment on all of your lots from the buyers, payment will be forwarded to you minus our commission fees, usually 30 working days after the sale.
